The job wasn\u2019t ready when I arrived so I decided to become a tourist for a few days.<\/p>\n<p>The highlight of the trip was the evening river boat tour, I saw all the croc\u2019s I ever wanted to see in my life in and along the Ord River!!<\/p>\n<p>Anyway back to work everything went well on the job installing the new termite barrier for a couple of days then we had another hold up in construction for another couple of days. So back to being a tourist again I had to fly back to Perth on the following Friday but I realised I booked the flight back for tomorrow whoops! Luckily I had only a small part of the termite barrier to complete and again luckily the concreter said all was ready to go. So at 2pm that day I started the last of the termite barrier installation knowing I had to catch the flight back to Perth the next morning I kept working almost in the dark relying on the lights on the outside of the hospital \u2013 only 6 metres to go to finish the job.<\/p>\n<p>Whoops I stumbled and shot the skin off the side of my thumb with a nail gun, well lucky I was at the right place to have it looked at. The nurses where great, bandaged me up and held a torch for me to finish so I could finish off the termite barrier and made the flight back to Perth the next morning even had a couple of scotches to ease the pain!<\/p>\n<p>Some people have noticed my odd looking thumb I just say to them it\u2019s a long story.
